How this transformational program leads to school improvement

Learning Teams is one of the only comprehensive teacher collaboration and school improvement programs with a proven record of research and results. Learning Teams was developed in the classrooms and schools of high need urban school districts by leading researchers and educators in the fields of teacher development, instruction, and school change. In systematic case studies and quasi-experimental longitudinal studies, researchers identified the five key elements of effective teacher collaboration that lead to improved student achievement: teacher teams, stable settings, tested protocols, distributed leadership, and school-site assistance and training. Research and evaluation continue to drive the evolution and implementation of the Learning Teams model in all of our schools.

The following sections illustrate Pearson LT's ongoing commitment to research, evidence and evaluation.
