“As the Administrator in charge, it gives me a sense of meaning, knowing that something is working, going well collaboratively in a professional development. I tell you that it is the highlight of my life sometimes when I come here and hear you folks discuss meaningful problems.”

Internal Research Studies
In addition to coordinating the standard evaluation of LT schools, the Research & Evaluation team at Pearson Learning Teams continues to design and conduct multiple research studies - qualitative evaluations for the specialized implementations, discourse analyses, and survey or focus group evaluations - in order to evaluate Learning Teams implementations over time and inform our understanding of collaborative learning and development.
Past and ongoing research studies examine factors associated with implementation and outcomes including the following:
- Instructional discourse in teacher workgroups
- Principal leadership in school-wide implementations
- Teacher leadership and distributed decision-making in collaborative learning communities
- Teacher retention
